Best distro to switch to for school?

Best distro to switch to for school?

I've this laptop for school that had windows 8 preloaded for about 8
months now, it had to be restored a couple of days ago because of
corrupted files. I use Arch , Fedora, and Ubuntu on my desktops at home.
And I'm thinking of switching to Linux on my laptop. I have a really hard
time deciding which distro I should download on it. I don't think I should
Arch since because of the chance it might break or something. I would like
a Debian based distro to use because of their gigantic repos. But I would
enjoy Fedora because of the GNOME 3.8 interface, and Ubuntu is only up to
3.6. But I don't like Fedora because it doesn't have as many packages as
Ubuntu and Debian. I don't know how to setup wifi adapters or hibernating.
So my questions are; What would be the best laptop distro for school?
Which is better on a laptop; Fedora, Ubuntu, or Arch? How do you setup the
wifi adapters? What are some of the packages needed for laptops? Which
distro is best for dual-booting If you could answer some of these
questions it would be great! :)
