What should I purchase i3 CPU or AMD 8 CPU? [on hold]

What should I purchase i3 CPU or AMD 8 CPU? [on hold]

Which is the better all around CPU? I have a chance at getting a laptop w/
the AMD 8 for a little cheaper than my i3 laptop. Both machines are
comparable in everything else.
